Baiskoafu’s ‘Chanaachaa 2022’ a huge success!

Popular local streaming application, Baiskoafu, successfully concluded ‘Chanaachaa 2022’ – a music festival - on Saturday night.

The music festival was held at Hulhumale’ Synthetic Track on Saturday. The first session took place in the evening, whilst the second took place at night. Entry for the evening session was free, whilst entry for the night session required purchasing tickets. Despite the ticketed entrance of the night session – it was a full house.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih also attended the music festival at Hulhumale' Synthetic Track, and viewed performances.

Artist line-up for the show included Sri Lankan singer who rose to fame with ‘Manike Mage Hithe’, Yohani Diloka de Silva, and over 80 renowned local bands and musicians including Equatic Vibe, Traffic Jam. Achecia, Symbolic Records, Detune Band, Fasy Live, and Humble Bakari amongst others.

Baiskoafu sold VIP tickets for the music festival. Purchasers were granted the opportunity to meet Yohani, and click pictures with her.

Yohani performed her hit ‘Manike Mage Hithe’ at the festival. 

‘Chanaachaa’ is an annual music festival organized by Baiskoafu – to provide a platform for local artists to showcase their music. 

The festival is back this year after a two-year break, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
