President departs on unofficial visit to UK

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed have departed for the United Kingdom on an unofficial visit.

They left for the UK on Wednesday evening.

According to the President’s Office, all expenses related to the trip, including those associated with administrative duties, as well as family and personal matters, will be covered by President Muizzu himself.

The President’s Office did not say when they would return to the Maldives.
