DhivehiGPT, a groundbreaking AI tool tailored for Dhivehi language needs, has undergone a major upgrade with the addition of key features, including a speech-to-text feature.
Mohamed Jailam, the CEO of Javaabu – the tech company behind DhivehiGPT, samed the speech-to-text feature as the highlight of the new features introduced to the AI tool.
Jailam said the DhivehiGPT website now offers the option to quickly transcribe speech, including with speaker diarisation.
Jailam noted that this feature will help quickly transcribe court hearings, interviews and press conferences.
DhivehiGPT has also introduced a text-to-speech feature, allowing the generation of Dhivehi language narrations and voiceovers. The website currently offers this in the voice of ‘Hajja’. But Jailam plans to expand this feature to include diverse voices.
Another key upgrade is the introduction of a credit scheme and team plans for offices. Jailam said this will allow office employees to access the service under a single plan.
With the credit scheme, DhivehiGPT has introduced cheaper plans for both individual users and teams, offering huge discounts and one-year subscriptions.
Additional new features include the option to translate to Arabic, Hindhi and Bengali.
“This will help make it easier to communicate with expatriate workers. We have also introduced the highly requested chat history feature with this update,” said Jailam.
Jailam believes the latest update will further expand DhivehiGPT’s services and improve customer convenience.
He aims to develop Dhivehi language technology and ensure Maldivians benefit from AI.
