Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Cooperation (MMPRC) in collaboration with the National Hotel and Guest House Association (NHGAM) and the Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) is showcasing Maldives’ offerings for the Bangladeshi market at the Asian Tourism Fair (ATF) Dhaka.
ATF Dhaka is being held from September 19th to September 21st. It is an in-depth fair consisting of tourism business networking and coordination between the private sector, organizations, and development agencies in Asian nations and provides opportunities for establishing linkages among people to people, people to destinations, and country to country. In addition to the main travel trade exhibition focusing on B2B and B2C, the fair will also feature sideline events such as the exhibition of sustainable initiatives, seminars, workshops, and cultural exchanges alongside a special community-based tourism mart and a tourism skills convention aimed at tourism marketeers and professionals.
The delegation representing Maldives at the fair comprises of 37 representatives from 23 industry partners that is promoting leisure and affordable luxury travel among Asian countries, particularly the emerging Bangladeshi market.
MMPRC states the Maldives stand at ATF 2024 showcases the unique aspects and features of our breathtaking destination, highlighting the diversity of experiences, vibrant marine life, and the natural splendor that makes the Maldives the World’s Leading Destination. The stand features exciting activities such as traditional food tasting options and features Maldives tourism products with a focus on affordable luxury and family travel segments.
MMPRC’s Deputy Managing Director Zihuny Rasheed gave an insightful speech about the unique offerings of Maldives and the importance of the Bangladesh market at the inauguration of ATF 2024.
“As a leading tourism destination, Visit Maldives (MMPRC) is committed to promoting itself as a premier travel destination. Together with NHGAM and MATATO, we are working tirelessly to create innovative marketing campaigns and strategic partnerships that showcase the beauty, diversity, and sustainability of our islands,” he said.
MMPRC’s team also gave a valuable presentation about the Maldives’ offerings to the Bangladeshi travel trade.

This marks the first time Maldives is participating in ATF. MMPRC states the participation reflects dedicating to strengthening Maldives’ presence in Asian markets such as India, Nepal, Bhutan, and the emerging Bangladeshi market, highlighting the event’s regional significance.
