Man found wounded in Male’ guesthouse remains in ICU

The man found wounded in a guesthouse in the Maldivian capital on Monday remains admitted at the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH)’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU), reports the hospital.

The man, identified only as a “Maldivian male”, was found wounded in a room at a guesthouse in the Henveiru district of Male’ City by the police on Monday morning. He was taken to the IGMH and has been at the hospital’s ICU ever since.

A spokesperson from IGMH told Sun on Thursday that he remains under treatment at the ICU.

The spokesperson declined to make any further comment.

Meanwhile, the police said that the case remains under investigation. The agency declined to make any further comment, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation.
