Discussions held on strengthening collaborations between Ooredoo Maldives and Qatar

Discussions have been held on strengthening collaborations between Ooredoo Maldives and Qatar.

The discussions took place during a visit by Qatari Ambassador to the Maldives Jassim bin Jaber J.B. Al-Sorour to Ooredoo Maldives’ headquarters in Hulhumale’ on Tuesday.

Ooredoo said the visit underscores the strong diplomatic ties between the Maldives and Qatar and highlights the company as the largest Qatar-based foreign investment in the country.

Ooredoo’s senior leadership, including CEO Khalid Al-Khamadi, received Ambassador Jassim at the headquarters, who provided an overview of the company's achievements, ongoing projects, and future plans. The discussions also centered on Ooredoo’s contributions to the development of the Maldives' digital landscape, its role in fostering innovation, and its commitment to community-focused initiatives.

The Ambassador was also given a tour of Ooredoo’s facilities, where he met with key teams working on the company’s flagship projects. He also took the opportunity to engage with employees and learn more about Ooredoo’s initiatives aimed at enhancing digital accessibility and empowering communities across the Maldives.

The visit concluded with commitment from both sides parties to further strengthen the collaborative efforts between Ooredoo Maldives and Qatar, ensuring continued growth and mutual success in the years to come.
