Air Arabia launches Male’-Sharjah direct flights

Middle East and North Africa’s largest low-cost carrier, Air Arabia, has announced new daily non-stop flights connecting Male’ with Sharjah, UAE effective October 27th.

The low-fare airline will operate direct flights between Velana International Airport (VIA), Male’ City and Sharjah International Airport, UAE.

The new flights, Air Arabia, said will provide travelers with “even more convenient and affordable options” explore the tourism-centric Indian Ocean archipelago, added the airline in a statement.

Adel Al Ali, the Group CEO of Air Arabia stated, “The launch of our non-stop flights to the Maldives highlights our commitment to offering our customers more travel options and connecting them to some of the world’s most breathtaking locations.”

“This addition to our route network from Sharjah reaffirms our commitment to providing seamless connectivity and value-driven travel to our passengers.”

The budget carrier operates a fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft.

Air Arabia’s Male’-Sharjah direct flight announcement has come no long after the airline announced launch of its newest route connecting UAE and Vienna, Austria. Flights will operate in this route from December 20, 2024 onward – in time for the winter holiday traffic.

The airline, which operates out of six hubs, including Sharjah International Airport and Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi, posted Q1 revenues of AED 6 billion (USD 1,633,548,600) and a net profit exceeding AED 1.54 billion (USD 419,277,474).
