Senior Political Director of Transport Ministry pass away

The Senior Political Director of the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation Bahiz Shafeeq has passed away on Thursday.

His demise was confirmed by a senior official of the ministry, confirming Bahiz passed away sometime on Thursday morning.

The 27-year-old Senior Political Director reportedly passed away amid treatment at ADK Hospital after a liver surgery. He previously had a heart surgery as well.

Late Bahiz Shafeeq was an active participant in several political activities led by the ruling People's National Congress (PNC) and Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) coalition.
