Missing person found dead in Male' City apartment

The dead body discovered from the ground floor of a Maafannu residence in Male' City on Monday afternoon was recently missing middle-aged man, Mohamed Aiman.

Earlier, it was reported Mohamed Aiman, 30, of MA. Boalhakinkirimaage has been missing and his family was unable to get in touch with him.

Maldives Police Service started their search for Aiman on Monday after receiving the missing complaint by family.

On Monday afternoon around 14:20hrs, police had received a separate report of a dead body discovered from the ground floor of MA. Rabeeu VIlla.

Police had conducted scientific analysis to acquire the identity of the deceased person, and had found it was Aiman.

The law enforcement authority said it was investigating the case now.

This is the second of a dead person discovered in strange circumstances within a span of a week, as police had discovered the deceased body of a Bangladeshi national last Wednesday inside a van parked in Hulhumale'.
