NSPA said the opportunity to seek the services based on eligibility under the "Regulation on the Provision of IUI and IVF treatments under Aasandha Scheme" - which is published on NSPA website - will be extended to the interested parties.

Only the 100 highest scoring couples will receive the opportunity every year.

The announcement further confirmed that interested individual may continue to apply for the state-funded IVF and IUI treatments via the Aasandha Digital Portal.

NSPA said that patients can seek treatment from applicable medical institutions in the Maldives or from empaneled foreign medical institutions as well.

Provision of these treatments through Aasandha is among the key pledges of Maldives President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
