Authorities arrest suspects for boosting MACL MD's vehicle

Local authorities have arrested multiple suspects for their alleged role in stealing the vehicle of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) Managing Director.

Maldives Police Service on Tuesday shared with local media confirmed the authority received report of a stolen vehicle, adding they made multiple arrests in the case.

The law enforcement authority however, did not disclose the number of suspects they arrested, but added they were investigating the case.

As per reports, the vehicle was stolen from an entry-restricted zone at the Velana International Airport (VIA) island of Hulhule'.

In a separate unrelated case, a violent altercation broke out on Tuesday between a foreigner and an airport employee.
