Land from Thilafushi to go up for sale, solely for locals

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) states preparations are underway to open land plots for sale from Thilafushi; this time specific for locals only.

HDC, in a statement on Thursday, said land plots from Thilafushi will only be sold for industrial and business-related purposes. They cited facilitating a spacious environment for businesses operating in Male’ area to conduct business and ensuring a permanent opportunity to conduct business as purposes behind issuing land from Thilafushi.

The corporation detailed that they would consider facilitating the development opportunities for small and medium businesses in a sustainable manner in the sale of land from Thilafushi. To promote their development, HDC detailed that they were working on selling land at a reasonable price for such businesses.

Additional plots will be opened for sale from Thilafushi as space may allow, HDC added.

HDC, in March, opened 108 plots up for sale from Thilafushi for industrial purposes for both local and foreigners.
