Hoara Ibbe passes away

Ibrahim Rasheed (Hoara Ibbe), who served as the Undersecretary at the President’s Office during former president Mohamed Nasheed’s administration, has passed away on Friday.

Sun has learned that Hoara Ibbe passed away at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) after he was brought to the hospital after suddenly falling ill.

Hoara Ibbe is a great orator. When the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) began organizing political events after its inception, he often delivered opening remarks at these events.

Hoara Ibbe also participated in the efforts to bring democracy to the Maldives.
