President Muizzu departs on visits to Laamu Atoll and Addu City

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, on Thursday, has departed on an official visit to several islands of Laamu Atoll.

During this visit, he is scheduled to make stops at Laamu Atoll’s Maavah, Isdhoo, Dhanbidhoo, Fonadhoo and Gan.

The President will be meeting the councils, Women's Development Committees (WDCs) and residents of each island where he will discuss community priorities and developmental needs with councils.

A high-level delegation from the government is accompanying the President on this visit.

After concluding his visit to Laamu Atoll – President Muizzu will be making an unofficial visit to Addu City.

Prior to this, the President has said he aims to visit all residential islands across the Maldives at least twice during his five-year term.
