Dhivehibahuge Academy has announced the inter-office handwriting competition, organized and held every year between government institutions.
The competition is held between the employees of government institutions, independent commissions, and council authorities.
The 2024 edition of the handwriting competition to commemorate Dhivehi Language Day will be held under two distinct categories; assessing neatness and 'Avas Thaana' (cursive Thaana).
Participants would be required to write the material on a special paper provided by the academy.
A special judging panel would be appointed to gauge the submissions.
Marking Criteria for Neatness
Marking Criteria for 'Avas Thaana' (cursive)
While all government institutions, council authorities and independent commissions are allowed to participate, each office can nominate a maximum of five of their employees to contend in either of the categories.
The top 10 submissions under each category would be selected, each subject to a cash prize of MVR 500, certificates, and trophies.
Moreover, the winning office will receive trophies, certificates and prizes, the runners-up and third place holder would receive certificates and prizes.
An office is eligible to win collectively if it nominates a minimum of three employees to participate in the competition, while employees can participate individually as well.
The participating institutions are required to submit credentials of their nominated employees before 14:00hrs on April 25th, 2024 to the acedamy.
The documents of participant credentials should be sealed inside an envelope with the name of the institution and "Inter-Office Handwriting Competition 2024" written on it.
Besides physical submissions, the academy is also accepting online applications as well.
The academy's handwriting competition held last year attracted positive feedback and saw the participation of 354 employees from 93 institutions.
