The city council, in collaboration with the police, are looking for vandals who damaged sign boards at the Sultan Park, a public park located in Male’ City.
The incident took place on Friday night.
A city council spokesperson, Aminath Shathufa, told Sun on Saturday that the incident took place during Tarawih prayer time, when there wasn’t any security at the park.
According to Shathufa, the suspects in the case are around four individuals aged approximately 18 years.

“They were angry. Children above the age of 12 years cannot use the trampoline. They apparently frequent the place between Maghrib and Isha prayers,” she said.
Shathufa said that the same individuals suspected of damaging the sign boards had confronted the park’s security guards when they attempted to stop them from getting on the trampoline.
She said that the police investigated the scene and are looking for the suspects.
