Champa Brothers have decided to increase the quantity of food products they are gifting to the public in conjunction with Ramadan.

50 tonnes of watermelon, 50,000 coconut and 10 tonnes of onion have been handed over to the Local Government Ministry for distribution already. Local councils are undertaking efforts to distribute these items.

Meanwhile, Chamba Brothers, on Monday, announced their decision to add 25 tonnes of watermelon, 25,000 coconut and 10 tonnes of onion to the gifts – which they said will be handed over to the Local Government authority within this week.

As per the company, the additional watermelon and coconut being gifted are now in the Maldives, while the 10 tonnes of potato will be imported over the next two days.

In total, Champa Brothers is gifting 75 tonnes of watermelon, 75,000 coconut, 10 tonees of onion and 10 tonnes of potato to the public this year.

Champa Brothers has gifted food products to the public during previous Ramandans as well. In this regard, last year, the company gifted 15 tonnes of watermelon and 15,000 coconuts.
