'Ras’ain’ application launched under efforts to ensure safety of fishermen, travelers

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) has introduced a mobile application, ‘Ras’ain’ as part of its efforts to ensure the safety of fishermen and travelers seafaring in Maldivian waters.

The application was launched by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu during a special ceremony held at N. Maafaru Airport on Friday night to launch MNDF’s Air Corp service and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) service.

The application was launched to enhance the quality of the lives of the public and ensure their safety.

Crucial information for seafarers such as the Maldives’ map and weather alerts by the Maldives Meteorological Service will be available on the application.

Other information available on the application includes tides, currents, fishing spots gathered from other resources, and locations of fishing buoys.

The application is available for both Apple and Android phones.
