Three Maldivian women in ICU after car crash on Cochin highway

Three Maldivian women have sustained critical injuries in an accident in the Indian city of Cochin.

The three women – all members of a family from R. Alifushi – are currently being treated at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital.

A family member told Sun they weren’t aware of much details regarding the injuries, but that one of the women sustained massive facial injuries, including a broken nose.

According to the source, the accident took place on late Friday night on the highway, as the family travelled back to Trivandrum after consulting with a doctor at a hospital in Cochin.

The car they were travelling on got rear-ended by another car, just as the driver of their vehicle stopped on the side of the highway.

All three women injured in the accident are reported to be in critical condition, and are being treated at the ICU.
