Education Ministry’s Permanent Secretary Ahmed Ali has resigned from his post.
Ahmed Ali was suspended for one month over a case under investigation by Civil Service Commission (CSC) on January 4th.
Ahmed Ali told Sun on Sunday that he has tendered his resignation as he no longer wished to remain in the post, attributing his decision to personal reasons.
Ali Ahmed was suspended over multiple complaints filed against him by a member of the public.
The permanent secretary at each ministry is the highest-ranking civil service staff in each ministry. Appointed to the post in 2019 for a term of five years, Ahmed Ali has filled various posts in the education sector.
