Imran announces candidacy for Makunudhoo seat

Adhaalath Party (AP) has announced that its leader, Imran Abdulla is contesting in the upcoming parliamentary elections for the Makunudhoo seat.

AP announced on Sunday that following the review of members who applied to contest the parliamentary elections on behalf of the party, its advisory council has decided to present the party’s tickets to four candidates.

The four candidates selected includes Imran, who had served as home minister during the former administration. AP had been part of the coalition government from 2018-2023.

The other candidates who received the party’s ticket are; Hussain Saqeef, who is running for the Vaikaradhoo seat; Ismail Hameed, who is running for the Funadhoo seat; and Ismail Ali, who is running for the Inguraidhoo seat.
