Migrant on Vilingili fishing boat dies

A migrant who worked on a GA. Vilingili fishing boat died on early Tuesday morning, after his condition suddenly deteriorated.

The incident was reported to police at around 12:25 am on Tuesday.

According to a police spokesperson, the migrant worker, identified as a 35-year-old Bangladesh man, was taken to the Dhaandhoo Health Center after his condition deteriorated while the fishing boat had been out at sea.

The health center reports the man was already deceased when taken to the facility, said the spokesperson.

The police are looking into the death.
