Brigadier General Hilmy appointed as Vice Chief of Defense

Brigadier General Ibrahim Hilmy has been appointed as the new Vice Chief of Defense Force.

The Maldivian President and Commander-in-Chief, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu made the appointment on Wednesday.

The appointment comes after the former Vice Chief of Defense, Lieutenant General Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef was appointed as the Chief of Defense Force last month.
