Fireworks in Male’ City tomorrow night in conjunction with Muizzu’s inauguration

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) states fireworks will be held in Male’ City tomorrow night in conjunction with the inauguration of President Elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

In this regard, MNDF said the fireworks will be held at 9:00pm tomorrow night in front of Izzudheen Jetty, for a duration of approximately five minutes.

Muizzu’s inauguration ceremony is slated for 4:45pm tomorrow evening, at Republic Square.

Office of the President Elect has previously stated leaders of foreign nations have been invited to attend the ceremony.

The major countries with which Maldives has foreign relations are sending special envoys on behalf of their leaders to attend the ceremony.

US will be represented by a delegation formed for the purpose by President Joe Biden.

China, on behalf of its President Xi Jinping, is represented by the President’s Special Representative and State Councilor, Shen Yijin.

India will be represented by Earth Science Minister Shri Kiren Rijiju.
