Police seek to locate two suspects over criminal offenses

Maldives Police Service has made an announcement on Wednesday seeking to locate two men suspected of committing criminal offenses.

They identified the suspects as Ahmed Safneez, 40, MA. Cotton Villa, K. Male’ and Mohamed Saaif Ali, 23, Asareege, GA. Kolamaafushi.

Safneez is accused of engaging in unlawful sexual arrangement.

Saaif is accused of refusing to provide urine sample.

Police said they are searching to locate both suspects as the authority has been ordered by the court to present both men before the court in their custody at 9:00am on next Monday, in connection to criminal trial underway against them, as they have not appeared before the court in accordance with the court’s summons.

Police have requested anyone with information regarding either of the men to contact Police Custodial at 9991442.

In their announcement, Police extended gratitude to the public for the cooperation provided to the authority over such appeals.
