Dhivehi Bahuge Academy has begun sessions to train school students on writing poetry and bandhi, ahead of the 26th National Poetry Writing Competition.
DBA said the sessions were open to all students who wish to take part in the competition.
The sessions, which began Saturday, are being conducted by Uz Adam Zahir – who has won the National Award of Recognition in the field of Dhivehi language and literature, and has trained multiple students.
The training is being conducted in three sessions; from 08:00 am to 11:00 am, from 01:00 pm to 05:00 pm, and from 08:00 pm to 10 pm.
DBA said that 76 schools and 17 individuals are taking part in the sessions.
The academy recently held nationwide online sessions to prepare students for the National Oral Competition.
