40,594 applications for flats and land in second round

Housing Ministry states they have received 40,594 applications for land and flats under the second round of the ‘Binveriya’ and ‘Gedhoruveriya’ housing schemes.

The deadline for applications expired at 03:00 pm Tuesday.

State Minister for Housing Akram Kamaluddin said the ministry received 19,347 applications for land, and 21,247 applications for flats.

Housing Ministry has stated that over 4,000 plots of land and 8,000 flats will be issued in the second round of the two schemes.

The housing will be provided from Uthuru Thila Falhu.
