Police probe trespass at Civil Court

Maldives Police Service has begun investigating a trespassing incident at Civil Court.

Photos of police officers at the scene after the trespassing was reported had gone viral on social media.

A Police Spokesperson said the case was reported to the authority at approximately 3:57pm on Friday night. The suspect in question had trespassed the second floor of the Justice Building, where Civil Court is based.

Police said their investigation so far does not disclose anything had been stolen.

The case is under further investigation.

Just last week, Family Court, based on the first floor of the Justice Building was broken into, after smashing a window on two separate occasions. Items were reported stolen.
