VP Faisal attends Parley’s nation-wide cleanup event

Vice President Faisal Naseem has participated in a nation-wide beach cleanup event organized by Parley Maldives to mark World Ocean Day.

The event is being held in over 300 islands across Maldives, including inhabited islands and resorts.

The first session of the cleanup event was held from 07:00 am to 09:00 am on Saturday, and the second session began at 04:00 pm, and will end at 06:00 pm.

In between the sessions, Parley shared videos promoting the protection of oceans via YouTube.

Vice President Faisal participated in the event at Hulhumale’ in the morning.

Parley is an NGO that works to protect Maldivian islands and marine environments from plastic pollution.

Since 2015, Parley has collected and recycled 2,109,310 kilos of plastic waste in Maldives.
