Woman injured in gas cylinder blast in Male’ home

A gas cylinder exploded inside a home in Male’ City on Friday that resulted in injuries to one person.

The incident took place in a fifth-floor apartment in MA. Gulaabeege.

MNDF’s Spokesperson told Sun that its Fire and Rescue team was dispatched to the scene of the incident upon receiving the report.

MNDF, in a tweet, said the incident occurred while trying to turn on the stove while there was a gas leak. The blast caused damage to the stove.

A 35-year-old woman who had difficulties breathing following the incident was taken to the hospital for treatment.
