Maldives National Party (MNP)’s presidential candidate and leader Colonel (Retired) Mohamed Nazim launched his ‘Ujaala Zamaan’ manifesto on Wednesday, which promised free pads for women and slashing the rent of the Hiyaa flats to MVR 4,000.
Speaking at the launch of his manifesto, Nazim said he entered the presidential race to guarantee a prosperous life for the Maldivian people.
Nazim said he traveled across the Maldives and sought the opinion of the numerous people he met to write his manifesto.
He said he closely observed the situation of the people during his travels.
Nazim said the country needs to see an end to the sight of people going from place-to-place begging for what they need.
The launch of the ‘Ujaalaa Zamaan’ manifesto saw MNP present its pledges for the first 30 days of the party’s administration.
