Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has sent Harivanga mangoes to Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih as a gift.
The mangoes were presented on behalf of Hasina by the Bangladesh High Commissioner to Maldives Rear Admiral S.M. Abul Kalam Azad. The gift was accepted on behalf of the Maldivian leader by Chief of Protocol at the Foreign Ministry, Ahmed Shian.
Shian conveyed thanks on behalf of the president.
The Harivanga mango is a mango cultivar produced in the northwest part of Bangladesh, especially in the Rangpur district.
Hasina had sent boxes of the famous mango to President Solih as a gift last year and the year before as well.
