President Solih to depart on Saturday on official visit to Faafu Atoll

The President’s Office, on Thursday, said that President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will be departing on Saturday on an official visit to Faafu Atoll.

Speaking at a press conference held at the President’s Office on Thursday afternoon – Spokesperson Miuvaan Mohamed said the president will be visiting five islands during this trip; Nilandhoo, Dharanboodhoo, Magoodhoo, Feeali and Bilehdhoo.

Miuvaan detailed that the president will be inaugurating completed projects by the government in those islands. He will also be meeting the island council and the Women’s Development Committees of each island.

Additionally, the president will also meet the residents of each island. The residents will also have the opportunity to meet cabinet ministers accompanying President Solih during these meetings. 

Therewith, Miuvaan said that the residents can directly share their concerns with the president instead of through a third party. 

President Solih will be in Faafu Atoll for two days.
