Indian man arrested for touching a woman without consent

An Indian youth has been arrested from Male’ City for touching a woman without her consent.

Criminal Court remanded the 22-year-old in police custody for 10 days on Tuesday.

He is suspected of touching a woman without her consent and sexual harassment.

The Prevention of Sexual Abuse and Harassment Act defines sexual harassment as unwelcomed acts of sexual nature against or directed towards a person.
