Tahajjud will be performed in 32 mosques in greater Male’

The tahajjud or ‘night prayer’ will be performed in 32 mosques in the greater Male’ area in the last 10 days of Ramadan, according to the Islamic Ministry.

In a statement Thursday, the Islamic Ministry said tahajjud will be performed in 18 mosques in Male’ City, and 11 mosques in Hulhumale’ and three in Vilimale’.

Meanwhile, i'tikaf will be practiced in seven mosques in Male’, six in Hulhumale’, and one in Vilimale’.

Mosques across Maldives attract a large number of worshippers for the tahajjud prayer during the holy month of Ramadan each year, especially during the last 10 days.
