Maldives has begun administering the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine to children aged five to 11 years.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) began administering the vaccine Tuesday. The vaccine is available from vaccination centers in Male’, as well as from hospitals and health centers in the atolls.
HPA noted that the Pfizer vaccine is also available for individuals aged above 12 years, and urged people to complete their doses, including booster doses.
VACCINE CENTERS IN MALE’:
399,178 people have received the first dose, and 358,099 people have receive the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine in Maldives. However, the number of people who received two booster doses stands at 1,523.
Maldives has confirmed 185,723 cases of Covid-19. 311 have died from complications.
