Maldives Tourism Development Board (MTDC) has unveiled its new logo and website.
MTDC’s new logo and website, along with a project to develop a new head office, was inaugurated by Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid during a ceremony held at the Kurumba Maldives to celebrate the corporation’s 15th anniversary on Wednesday.
According to MTDC, its seven-story new head office is being built on a 6,000 square feet plot, and will be equipped with a multi-purpose hall, parking area, gym, business lounge, and an open area terrace.
The new head office will be located in front of the Hulhumale’ Central Park, and is scheduled to be complete before the end of next year.
Speaking during Wednesday’s ceremony, MTDC’s Managing Director Thazmeel Abdul Samad said it was a happy night for the corporation’s staff.
Thazmeel said the corporation was founded with the goal of allowing ordinary citizens to profit from tourism.
“Today, MTDC is the corporation with the largest number of shareholders in Maldives, and a corporation which has become increasingly profitable. This institution has the dedication and spirit to establish itself in the tourism sector. A corporation that is of utmost capability and quality, that is able to deliver profits and benefits to its shareholders,” he said.
The ceremony also saw MTDC award its staff in recognition of their service.
