HDC begins towing illegally parked vehicles in Hulhumale’

Housing Development Corporation (HDC), on Wednesday, commenced efforts to tow illegally parked vehicles in Hulhumale’.

The corporation detailed that they are first towing vehicles abandoned on roads without engines and vehicle boards under these efforts.

In an earlier announcement, HDC said that Hulhumale’ residents and visitors were facing many difficulties due to illegally parked vehicles.

Noting that a survey report had been formulated on such vehicles in Hulhumale’ – HDC informed their decision to tow illegally parked vehicles in parking zones, roads and empty land plots in Hulhumale’ in collaboration with the relevant authorities.

The illegally parked vehicles towed today included very old and broken cars and lorries. These vehicles lacked parts including the doors and engines.
