Islamic Min begin releasing English translation of Friday sermon

Ministry of Islamic Affairs has begun sharing the English translation of the weekly sermon given during Friday prayer. 

Prior to this, only the Dhivehi version of the sermon is published on the website. However, from today onwards, the sermon will be posted in both languages.

According to the ministry, this was part of the work being done to spread Islamic knowledge, and invoke a love for the religion in peoples hearts. 

The minister further noted that as there are numerous expatriates living in Maldives, this was being done to ensure that information about the religion reaches a wider audience. 

In addition to this, the ministry said that more work will be done in the further to spread the message of Islam.
