President Solih to visit Huvadhoo Atoll

President Solih delivering an address at the official function held to mark the 130th anniversary of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF)

The President’s Office (PO) on Thursday reported that President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is set to depart on an official visit to Huvadhoo Atoll.

While speaking with the press, the Spokesperson for the PO Miuvan Mohamed revealed that President Solih will be departing sometime on Friday to visit three islands in Huvadhoo Atoll.

The islands in question are Gdh. Dhaandhoo, Gdh. Nilandhoo and Gdh. Maamendhoo.

According to Miuvaan, the president will inaugurate development projects that have been completed in these islands.

Additionally, he will meet with the island councils, Women’s Development Committee (WDC) members and other institutions as well.

President Solih is scheduled to return to the capital city after completing the tour on Saturday, added Miuvaan.

In addition to this, the president is set to visit Meemu Kolhufushi to join in this year’s celebration of National Unity Day, on Monday, December 26.
