ADK Hospital has announced the decision to increase the prices of its healthcare services.
In a statement Tuesday, ADK Hospital said that the global economic downturn since the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 has increased global prices resulting in an increase in operational expenses.
ADK Hospital said it will therefore be implementing increases to the prices of its healthcare services starting Thursday.
The hospital will reportedly increase the prices gradually over the coming days. The hospital estimates the prices of services will increase by an average of 15-25 percent.
The hospital has yet to disclose details of the price changes.
The decision comes as Maldives battles inflation in the wake of the pandemic. The country is set to increase GST and TGST starting 2023, which is expected to further increase prices of goods and services.
