EC posts job vacancies ahead of 2023 elections

Elections Commission (EC) has announced job vacancies in preparation of the upcoming presidential elections.

According to an announcement posted by EC on Monday, they are seeking 11 employees on contract basis who will be appointed at GS 3 level.

The employees will be paid a basic salary of MVR 4,465, a service allowance of MVR 1,500, and an additional MVR 155 for each day they report to work. They will also be paid OT.

The qualifications include at least two ‘D’ passes in secondary exam or an exam of equal rank, and at least a ‘C’ in Dhivehi language in secondary school or higher secondary school exam.

Candidates who have experience serving in a GS 3 rank post during a previous election will qualify for the post, according to EC.

The candidates selected will be responsible for administrative work related to the 2023 presidential elections.

Applications close at 03:00 pm on December 25.
