EC seeks over 260 staff for local council and WDC elections

Elections Commission (EC) has made an announcement seeking over 260 staff for next year’s local council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) elections.

According to EC, it will be holding walk-in interviews in order to provide the opportunity for as many people as possible to interview for the posts.

In this regard, the walk-in interviews will be held next weekend – August 29^th and August 30^th.

The interview on Friday will be held at Kalaafaanu School from 16:00pm to 22:00pm.

The interview on Saturday will be held at Hulhumale’ Kaamil Didi Preschool from 16:00pm to 22:00pm.

EC said if they are unable to fill all vacancies through the walk-in interview, it will continue evaluations of applications until they have filled all the posts.

The efforts will be undertaken on all days starting from September 15^th. The exam and interview for the posts will be held from September 1^st to March 15^th.

Notably, EC recruits additional staff in conjunction with every election.
