President of Dhivehi Bahuge Academy calls on new Pakistan High Commissioner

President of Dhivehi Bahuge Academy Dr. Ashraf Abdul Raheem has called on the new Pakistan High Commissioner Vice Admiral (Retired) Muhammad Fayyaz Gilani.

Ashraf called on Gilani at the Pakistan High Commission office in Male’ on Sunday.

At the meeting, Ashraf congratulated Gilani on his new appointment.

According the Pakistan High Commission, Ashraf and Gilani engaged in discussions on matters of mutual interest.

“Looking forward to have more interactions,” said the Pakistan High Commission in a tweet.

Gilani presented his credentials to Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih last week. He replaces Vice Admiral (Retired) Ather Mukhtar, who paid his farewell call on President Solih earlier November.

Ashraf was elected for a third term as President of Dhivehi Bahuge Academy on August 8, 2021.
