Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has revealed its SmartCom Fair held on Friday saw huge support.
The fair was held at Central Park from 04:00 pm to 06:00 pm and 08:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
According to HDC, the SmartCom Fair was aimed at educating people on applications and other digital platform for services, familiarize people with modern technology, and prepare ‘Smart Citizens for a Smart City’.
HDC said the fair will be held annually under its project to develop Hulhumale’ as a smart city.
They noted that the fair will also raise awareness to prevent cybercrimes – which has seen an increase in recent months, and provide important information on smart solutions and other digital services.
The SmartCom Fair was held in collaboration with government authorities, state-owned enterprises, private colleges, banks and private companies. In this regard, Bank of Maldives (BML), Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA), Dhiraagu, Ooredoo Maldives. Medianet and Maldives Business School were among participants.
