International engineers' conference commences

International Conference on Electronic, Computer, Communications, and Mechatronics Engineering (ICECCME), held by Turkish Aksaray University in the Maldives has commenced today.

The opening ceremony of the second ICECCME was held on Wednesday morning at Maldives National University's auditorium. 

This ceremony was officiated by the Chairperson of FENAKA, Mohamed Rasheed.

Speaking at the ceremony, Rasheed emphasized the importance of holding such conferences. 

MNU's Vice Chancellor Mohamed Shareef who also spoke at the ceremony said that he believes that this year’s ICECCME conference will be very informative and beneficial for all participants.

"This conference is important to both parties. Crucial information on relevant areas will be discussed. Hoping this turns out to be a successful conference," he had said. 

This conference is organized by MNU in collaboration with the University of Mauritius. It will be held from today till Friday, November 18.

Experts, academics, and engineers will come together and exchange ideas at this conference.

Participants will be able to attend technical sessions that include research papers on the latest technology and applications during the 'Comprehensive Technical Program' segment included in the conference. 

Almost 400 research papers will be presented during this year's conference - of which 165 will be presented online.

The conference will take place from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.

MNU estimates the participation of approximately 250 people in face-to-face sections.
