Islamic scholar Menk’s first lecture will focus on anxiety, depression and stress

Renowned Islamic scholar Ismail ibn Musa Menk (Mufti Menk)’s first lecture in his upcoming visit to Maldives will focus anxiety, depression and stress, according to the Maldivian Islamic Ministry.

The Zimbabwean scholar is scheduled to arrive in Maldives on a four-day visit on Friday, October 28. He will lecture in Male’ City, Fuvahmulah City, and Addu City.

Menk will deliver his first lecture at the Alimas Carnival in Male’ City at 08:45 pm on Friday, October 28. The topic for the lecture is ‘anxiety, depression and stress’.

He will deliver his second lecture at the Football Stadium in Fuvahmulah City at 08:45 pm on Saturday, October 29. The topic for the lecture is ‘Islam, kindness and benevolence’.

Menk will deliver his third lecture at the City Square in Addu City at 08:45 pm on Sunday, October 30. The topic for the lecture is ‘productive Muslim’.

He will deliver his final lecture at the Synthetic Track in Hulhumale’ at 08:45 pm on Monday, October 31. The topic for the lecture is ‘dealing with family problems’.

Islamic Ministry states their will not be any question-and-answer sessions after the lectures.

Menk is also scheduled to lead the Friday prayer at the Islamic Center in Male’ City on Friday, October 28. His sermon will focus on reviving the connection to Allah.
