Ex-Velidhoo chief magistrate’s alleged bribery case submitted to ACC, Police

Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has submitted the suspected bribery case of former N. Velidhoo Chief Magistrate Ahmed Saeed Ali to Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and Maldives Police Service.

Saeed resigned from his post on September 5, after JSC opened an investigation against him based on the allegation he accepted a bribe.

Following his resignation, Saeed's displinary issue was dropped. JSC detailed that the decision to file the case with ACC and Police was taken during the Commission’s 66^th meeting held on Sunday.
