High Court overturns Yoosuf Naeem's conviction

The judges bench of High Court on Thursday, unanimously agreed to overturn the bribery conviction of Yoosuf Naeem in the lease of Vaavu atoll Aarah. Earlier, Criminal Court found Naeem, the former Felidhoo MP, guilty of bribery in the same case involving former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom. The court sentenced Naeem with a guilty verdict on December 25th, 2022 on bribery
