MNDF releases ‘Dhivehiraajje’, an album of national songs.

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) has released ‘Dhivehiraajje’, an album of national songs.

MNDF releases an album each year on occasion of the National Day.

This year’s album, ‘Dhivehiraajje’, was released Tuesday morning.

The album has seven songs, and the main theme of the album is ‘Dhivehiraajje’, the Dhivehi world for Maldives.

MNDF said that like previous years, this year’s album is full of songs that will stir the blood of Maldivians with the spirit of nationalism.

The songs describe Maldives’ beaty, island lifestyle, and nationalism, said MNDF.

The lyrics were composed by Lieutenant Colonel Anwar Zahir, Command Sergeant Major Abdulla Saeed, Private Mohamed Mahid (Maatu), Jaufar Abdul Rahman, Adam Naseer Ibrahim, Fathimath Shareef, and Mohamed Abdul Ghanee (Theyrava).

The music was composed by Lieutenant Colonel Ali Manik (Dhaaree), Warrant Officer 2 Yoosuf Shimaz, Warrant Officer 1 Abdulla Ilham Ibrahim (Ille), Warrant Officer 1 Fathuhulla Shakeel Hussain, Staff Sergeant Ibrahim Asif, Private Mohamed Mahid (Maatu), and Detune Band.

MNDF said it was the first time they recorded an album on a live concept. The recording, mixing and mastering was headed by Warrant Officer 1 Fathuhulla Shakeel Hussain.

The music was prepared by MNDF’s Arts and Ceremonial Service. And the video songs were prepared and edited by MNDF’s Media and Publishing Service, Lieutenant (Retired) Ash’har Waheed, and Warrant Officer 2 Ibrahim Ahmed.

The album’s songs are available on MNDF’s website and official YouTube channel.
